چکیده
Analog beamforming technology is being used to overcome various technical drawbacks of mm-wave wireless communications systems. However, the errors caused by circuit implementations, quantized control, and imperfect isolation between antenna elements result in radiation pattern (RP) distortion performance deterioration. In particular, quantization error mutual coupling cause active reflection coefficient (ARC) each element vary with respect main beam direction, resulting statistical behavior changes depending on steering angles. this article, we derive RPs all those dominant taken into account. The analysis reveals that Beckmann distribution offers exact solution for cumulative sidelobe level (SLL), which very consistent a Monte Carlo simulation including ARC. addition, Rician reflecting three exhibits overall good accuracy, inherent deviation from results at certain angles due approximation uncorrelated identical variances are not valid real arrays. Our also indicates that, define maximum probability exceeding SLL, variance correlation should be considered along mean RPs.

Performance of Transmit Beamforming in Ricean Fading Channels: Robustness on Quantization Error and Feedback Error
In this paper we examine the robustness of two element transmit beamforming in the presence of feedback delay and quantization error. Specifically, we examine the robustness of two-element beamforming techniques in the presence of Ricean fading. We show that when the fading is Ricean, feedback methods are significantly more robust than when the fading is Rayleigh. This is significant since many...
متن کاملBounds on Analog-Digital Quantization Error Effects on Multicarrier Symbols
We study the error introduced to multicarrier symbols by front-end receiver quantizers. We formulate the problem using a Fourier approach, and then apply a novel matrix decomposition to bound the error. Using this bound, we are able to determine the maximum quantization bin width (minimum resolution) permitted in order for all symbols to pass through the quantizer while incurring zero average e...
متن کاملError in statistical tests of error in statistical tests
BACKGROUND A recent paper found that terminal digits of statistical values in Nature deviated significantly from an equiprobable distribution, indicating errors or inconsistencies in rounding. This finding, as well as the discovery that a large percentage of p values were inconsistent with reported test statistics, led to a great deal of concern in the popular press and scientific community. Th...
متن کاملAssessment of Random Error in Phantom Dosimetry with the Use of Error Simulation in Statistical Software
OBJECTIVE To investigate if software simulation is practical for quantifying random error (RE) in phantom dosimetry. MATERIALS AND METHODS We applied software error simulation to an existing dosimetry study. The specifications and the measurement values of this study were brought into the software (R version 3.0.2) together with the algorithm of the calculation of the effective dose (E). Four...
متن کاملCompetitive Mean-Squared Error Beamforming
Beamforming methods are used extensively in a variety of different areas, where one of their main goals is to estimate the source signal amplitude s(t) from the array observations y(t) = s(t)a + i(t) + e(t), t = 1,2,..., where a is the steering vector, i(t) is the interference, and e(t) is a Gaussian noise vector [1, 2]. To estimate s(t), we may use a beamformer with weights w so that s(t) = w*...
